Each sling features a tag that provides a durable record of the type and stock number as well as the vertical, choker, and basket hitch rated capacities for the sling. The standard tag is vinyl and can be imprinted with additional information if needed. Leather tags can be provided for an additionalcharge.
Regardless of its construction, each sling must have a tag attached to it. If not, remove the sling from service per OSHA and ASME B30.9 requirements.

Standard in all slings is a red wear warning alert. Inner load bearing yarns carry over 80% of the load. When the protective outer layer of webbing is worn away or damaged, the red yarns of the inner layer are exposed to give a telltale warning. When the red yarns are visible, remove sling from service immediately.

Wear protection is standard only on Types 6 and 7. If planning to use any other slings in damaging conditions, specify optional wear pads when ordering.
Padded slings include a nylon and polyester buffer designed specially for this application. They are also available in synthetic leather that is more economical and stiffer than regular leather or in the same material as the sling body. Other materials may be chosen; please specify when ordering.

Forged aluminum Triangles and Chokers are forged from aircraft quality aluminum alloy that combines the highest strength and durability with the lightness of aluminum. Parts are hand ground and polished to a smooth finish. Steel Triangles
and Chokers are also available in 4-Ply.

Hot dip galvanized with Klik Pin (zinc plated) as shown. Furnished as standard cotter, but hair pin can also be used. Shackle body is carbon steel, heat treated and tempered. Shackle pin is alloy steel, heat treated and tempered.

The Sling Saver® System offers a complete line of hardware to create a sling system that will maximize the strength of the sling and extend the life of the sling as well. The sytem components consists of eye hoists, swivel hoists, master links, chains and hooks.
